Alejandro Rojas holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Las Americas - Puebla. He has been awarded with the National Banamex Economy Award and National Finance Award by the IMEF. For 15 years, he worked for SECOFI and the Secretary of Economy as member of the Mexican negotiating team for the Trade Agreements with Central, South America and Israel. Between 2014 and 2017, he also held the position of Economic Affairs - Attaché at the Representation of the Secretariat in Canada. Mr. Rojas has been member of several working groups related to trade facilitation, maquiladora industry and supply chains also. As a private consultant, he has collaborated with IQOM - Consultores, the Mexican Investment Board (MIB) and for three years he was the Representative to Mexico of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME), the most influential private organization in Canada. In 2016, he joined MSquare Consultores to head the Commercial Intelligence area. Among his main projects are the development of new methodology aimed to develop local suppliers, as well as a tool to evaluate the effects of NAFTA 2.0 (T-MEC / USMCA) on automotive companies.
